ELECTRIC TIDE RECORDS - Terms & Policies

Thank you for considering Electric Tide Records. Please take a moment to review the following terms in their entirety.

(A) Prohibited Items: Smoking, drugs, weapons, and any illegal or hazardous substances are strictly prohibited on the Studio premises.
(B) Liability: The Studio is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss to persons or property occurring on the premises. The Client agrees not to hold the Studio liable for any accidents or injuries during the session.
(C) Equipment Care: The Client agrees to handle all Studio equipment responsibly. If any equipment is damaged during the session, the Client will be financially responsible for its repair or replacement.
Parents/Legal Guardians: Clients must be at least 18 years of age to book a session. If the Client is under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the agreement

(A) Food & Drink: Food and drinks are not allowed near Studio equipment. Accidental spills may result in additional charges for cleaning or repairs.
(B) Guests: Any guests or additional people in the studio must be approved in advance. Unauthorized guests may be asked to leave. Clients are responsible for their guest’s actions, and a guest’s failure to comply with the stated rules will hold the Client liable for any offenses.
(C) Setup Time: The time allotted for each session includes setup (load-in, instrument setup, mic placement, etc.). Please arrive on time.
(D) Session Timing: Sessions will begin and end at the scheduled times. Any extra time requested will be billed accordingly.
(E) Failure to comply with the behavioural standards set forth in this subsection may result in complete termination of a session.

(A) Deposit & Payment: A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking. Full payment is due on the day of the session. All sales are final—no refunds will be issued. Failure to make payment in full may result in withholding of session files.
(B) Cancellations & Rescheduling: Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled session will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Clients must notify the Studio at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule without penalty.
(C) Payment and File Release: No session files will be released until full payment has been made. Upon full payment, the Client retains ownership of the masters, though the Studio reserves the right to use recorded audio for promotional purposes with prior consent.

(A) Personal Equipment: Clients may store personal equipment at the Studio in a locked, temperature-controlled space. The Studio is not responsible for damage, theft, or loss of personal equipment.
(B) Studio Equipment: Clients may request to borrow Studio equipment with prior consent. They will be financially responsible for any damage to or loss of equipment during the session.

Photo/Video Release: By booking a session, the Client grants the Studio permission to take photos or videos during the session for promotional use on social media, the Studio website, or other marketing materials. If the Client does not wish to be featured, they must notify the Studio in advance.

(A) Revisions: The Client is entitled to up to three revisions of the mix. Additional revisions will incur an extra charge, as outlined by the Studio's current rate.
(B) File Backup: Once session files are delivered, the Studio is no longer responsible for keeping backup copies. It is the Client’s responsibility to maintain their own backups of all session files.

Delays Caused by Studio: If delays occur due to the Studio’s fault (e.g., equipment malfunction or technical difficulties), the Studio will either extend the current session or offer a future session to make up for lost time, at no extra charge.

Indemnification: The Client agrees to indemnify and not to hold the Studio liable for any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of the use of the Studio, including personal injury, property damage, or any other incidents during the session.
Liability Waiver: The Client acknowledges that they are responsible for their actions and the actions of their guests while on the premises. The Studio is not liable for any injuries or accidents that may occur during the session.
